Eyeliner tattoo, is it right for me?

Things that determines the success of an eyeliner tattoo

  • How well you tolerate the procedure ie pain, flattering, eyes watering etc
  • How well your skin tolerates the procedure ie swelling, bruising, bleeding, protruding veins etc
  • How vascular or thin your eyelids are naturally?
  • Aftercare! how well did your aftercare go?
  • did you follow all the instructions?
  • Did you pick or scratch (same thing) the area and pull out your tattoo pigment.

There is always a risk with eyeliner tattoos of migration as the skin on the eye area is the thinest, migration or blow-out where the ink travels underneath the skin can be permanent and sometimes not fixable so for that reason I am a very light handed technician and work with a layering process especially when working on thicker eyeliners. Starting by choosing safer options ie technic, pigments, needles etc first and building on each session, occasionally additional touch ups maybe necessary to achieve the desired effect.

In some cases due to all of the above it’s not worth the risk and some clients may not be a suitable candidate for eyeliner procedures
