why do I need a touch-up appointment?

Clients often ask why do I need a touch-up appointment?
Is it really necessary?

The answer is yes it is, it is not always possible to achieve 100% perfection after only the first procedure.

I always tell clients this is a two-part process the first procedure is laying the foundation (like a house) and the second procedure is the perfecting procedure

1. It gives clients who are nervous or have very little brows a chance to go really soft and super light and a chance to get used to their new brows
2. Correction of shape (ie thicker)
3. Adjustment of colour (ie darker, warmer, cooler)

Client revisits approximately 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure for their touch-up procedure. In most cases there will be areas that haven’t taken to the pigment; the areas that need addressing are generally very minor, resulting in a shorter appointment time. It should be acknowledged that fading occurs due to many reasons out of our control including genetics, skin type, how each client’s skin type retains the colour of the tattoo pigment as well as the skins natural healing rate. Healing is unpredictable. Factors like how well you adhered to aftercare instructions and how well the healing went, is all uncertain

If you choose not to have your touch-up procedure, be aware that it might affect the longevity of the pigment applied in only the one session and could fade quite quickly and very often unevenly.
